(1) Characteristic characteristics of "Ode to Xixia"

"Song of the West" is composed of 385 characters, classified by glyphs, which account for about 79% of them. The horizontal length accounts for 16%, and the vertical length accounts for 5%. The size of the lettering is about 9-10 cm, which is considered to be a large character in Han Li. Because the overall shape is square, the space between the horizontal painting and the horizontal painting is wider, so the text appears large and clear. For example, the three words "Zhao, Jin, Yuan" are written in the center of the "Zi" with the words "cloud, crown, fraud, and stay" on the side, making people look as straight as buildings The ground stands there. The "wall" is not written directly under the mouth, but moved slightly to the right, showing an interesting shape. The words "goods" and "jiang" have the same effect. In "Xixia Song", as the official script of the Han Dynasty, some characters are deformed. For example: "Chang, Ji", "幼, Yi" and other characters. Some parts are the strokes of seal script, and there are characters such as "Wu, Ni, Ren". The style and brushwork of traditional wooden bamboo slips are also scattered (see picture) .

The deformation and simplification of some characters in "Ode to Xixia" are unique. The radicals of "徼" are simplified to "Yao" with the radicals of the characters "亻" and "燒". The shape of "忄" of the character "悦" is the same as the radicals of "Wei", and the four characters "thick, strong, wealth, and cause" The structure of the characters is not seen in other steles.

(2) Stroke characteristics of "Ode to Xixia"

The horizontal paintings in "Ode to Xixia" are mainly square brushes, usually with a Tibetan front, and do not press down when closing the brush. When there is a wave, use a little force and slowly pick out with a thin brush to control the wave. Judging from the beginning strokes of the five characters "three, ancient, western, and five", they all start with short strokes and add them vertically to the horizontal drawing, and then send the brush to the right. It was originally a horizontal drawing with the addition of wave. Outside decoration. There is also a short drawing in the last drawing of similar characters such as "mian, xia, gao" and "zhi, zao, dao". The vertical paintings in "Ode to Nishisha" are all vertical, but the vertical paintings with waves of characters such as "Chuang, Si, Qi, Ah, Qian" not only maintain the balance of the font, but also appear more dexterous.

The horizontal paintings of "Ode to Xixia" are horizontal, and the vertical paintings are vertical. The characters are formed with equal intervals, so that the natural whole becomes square. The correct shape does not make people feel depressed. Such as: "betting, fraud, picture" and other characters, the combination of the size of the radical structure is very strange. "Yu, Nai" was originally a straight line, but it was also written as a curved line. The oblique drawing on the left side of the word "后" was also written as a straight line. The left hand of the word "Yu, Yue" is also curved, which also follows the characteristics of the official script. "Positiveness". Also, even if you use a straight line, as long as you have the consciousness of wave potential, the wave will be formed naturally. For example, in the lower half of the words "Li, Zheng", the tip of the pen is like cutting, and the wave stands upright. The words "Tao" and "Du" appear in the dash, as if the bones of the entire font are placed in a box, and only the part of the font looks like a probe outside the box.

The point of "Ode to Xixia" is also a Tibetan-style brushwork, which can be written in a variety of ways, including counter-stroke downwards, horizontal swings, diagonal swings, upward hooks, and so on. The four points of "灬" have a very small starting pen and a large ending pen, with different sizes and different directions. For example, the "冫" of the word "weak" and the "氵" of "Qing and Du" are pressed out from left to right, looking radially from a distance, the beginning of the word "cloud" is rain, and the side points of the word "Lu" are all vertical The horizontal painting is centered, and the left and right are used with wrist strength.

"Ode to Xixia" mostly uses the shape of seal script. The circular font is composed of curved lines as the main body, and "宀" is the most prominent. There is no straight word "宀" head. Such as "harm, content, character, official, guard, widow, su, crown, yin" and other characters are based on the curve, the right side of the word "rui", the middle and lower strokes of the word "chang" are also treated with a curve (see picture). The word "love" is also composed of curves. The outline of the entire font forms a circle. The left and right hand seems to have stepped out of the circle, giving a relaxed and leisurely impression. The character "Yi" completely follows the shape of the seal script, emphasizing that the horizontal and vertical paintings are curved outwards, and the whole is like a circle. For example, the left and right paintings of the character "mountain" face outwards, and the horizontal paintings connected to it also seem to be somewhat curved. "About, following, young", the whole is not circular, but the other parts are also composed of stipples in the same style as the unitary curve. The force of the word "幼" is also a powerful curve. "Yu" has a legacy of seal script, which makes people feel nostalgic.

The waves in "Ode to Xixia" are not very prominent. The most prominent performance is the oblique drawing. For example, the characters such as "人, 造, 惠" are composed of linear strokes. The strokes are similar to those in regular script, although they are short. Just pick up the short one. Other waves produce wave potential when the two opposite strokes of square and round are mixed and when the two are blended together. Words such as "three, king, five, two" appear in the last painting on the wave potential. The slightly rounded mouth of the word "Gu" is also to echo the wave potential of the horizontal painting. The word "西" means that the horizontal painting of the mouth has a wave potential. The straight line of the word "面" is in the same step as the horizontal brush of the first painting, but these three characters enlarge the structure of the mouth, making the first painting The ups and downs are not noticeable (see picture). Take a look at the 3 "人" characters, 9 "Zhi" characters, 9 "bu" characters, 7 "Yi" characters and 5 "有" characters, and compare them, you can appreciate the "Xixia Song" A variety of calligraphy meanings arising from the wave is here.

(3) Several points that should be paid attention to in the "Ode to Xixia"

When I wrote the book "Ode to Xixia", the horizontal paintings of some characters, such as "three, and, ancient, and five", can not be written as the same as the shape of the study, which is often confusing. I copy and appreciate it. In the writing of a single stroke, a short line is first marked, and then drawn along this short line to form a horizontal painting. The strokes in the lower left corner of the characters "Zhi" and "Zao" are also first painted with another drawing. Otherwise, it is difficult to write successfully.

When studying other inscriptions on rubbings, there is always a delay from the beginning to the end. However, in "Ode to Nishisha", the middle part of the horizontal or vertical painting becomes thicker, and the wrist force can also be changed, but the speed of the stroke is generally uniform. I realize that the pen is slower and heavier in order to reflect its thick and powerful flavor.

Many people are accustomed to writing official scripts with long cents, but the handy is Zhongjian cents, and the center forward is very easy to use in writing. You can also use pure sheep's hair after proficiency in the temporary study. Compared with it, the line is easier to change, the tip of the pen is easy to twist, and the hook and pick are more free. Normal ink density is ideal, thick ink is not suitable, clear ink and light ink can also be tried.
